Light the Way Kids Contest returns

Tell us your story and you could win a new Tablet!

The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation is once again bringing the annual Light the Way Campaign to Saugeen Shores this November. This is the largest fundraiser for the Foundation each year.

Part of the excitement of Light the Way is the all-day Radiothon on 98 the Beach, which will be happening on Thursday, December 12th this year.

As part of this year’s Radiothon, the Foundation’s Executive Director, Tracy Murray, says that they  “… would love to have some stories from local kids about their experience with our hospital. It could be a story about a time you had to come and get checked out, or when a family member had to stay in the hospital. We want to hear your story, funny, sad, and everything in between. Let us know how the Hospital helped you!”

All stories submitted will be put in a draw to win a brand new tablet!

“If our staff picks your story as one of the best,” adds Murray, “we will contact the person who submitted it to ask if they would like to do an audio recording reading their story so that we can air it on the radio during our annual Radiothon.”

  • Stories should be hand written if possible (or typed) and should be 250 words or less.
  • Include your name and age and phone number
  • Contest is open to kids 14 and under
