Local athlete sets new Canadian Para record

Once again, an athlete of Saugeen Track & Field Club (STFC) has set a new record.

Josh Farrell has set a new Canadian Para record of 14.15m in Shot Put at the Desert Challenge held at Arizona State University on Saturday, May 25th (2019).

The Club continues to promote young athletes and is consistently ranked among the top track and field clubs in Canada.

STFC has produced three Olympians, a Rhodes Scholar and two athletes who have won World Championship medals.

In addition, Club athletes have won 83 National Championship medals and over 1600 Provincial titles.

Founded in 1982 by Earl and Geordie Farrell, the Club continues to turn out athletes who excel in their sports.

Not only does the Club turn out athletes who excel, it also results in well-rounded individuals who then go on to apply what they’ve learned through dedication, determination and goal-setting to other areas of life as they move into the future.
