Local author working on second edition of his trilogy

With two books now published, author Rev. Bob Johnston continues with his prolific writing.

His first novel, Like a River Flows, tells the story of Hurricane Hazel that struck Ontario in the1950s. Although a fictional account as told by a teenaged boy, it leaves the reader wondering if the boy is actually a younger Johnston who lived through the harrowing experience. Johnston’s second book, Sunset Musings: Reflections of a Senior, is a compilation of many columns written by Johnston.  While it is his second book, it is the first in a trilogy of vignettes as seen through the lens of the Spring, Summer and Fall of his life experiences.

The first of the trilogy, Spring, draws from Johnston’s life as a young man and the second, Summer, is now in the draft stage of completion.

Johnston recently attended the ‘Meet the Author” series at the Farmers’ Marketing in Port Elgin hosted by his publisher The Brucedale Press.
