The McCutcheon family had reason to celebrate on Sunday, October 1st, when their winning ticket was drawn for the 50/50 prize at the 38th annual Pumpkinfest on the weekend.
It was the first time that the event had utilized digital donations and the McCutcheons purchased $20 worth of tickets. “We are really happy with the digitized system,” said Pumpkinfest Committee President, John Miller. “It eliminates possible confusion and, if people don’t have ready cash on them, they can still take advantage and purchase tickets.”
The draw was made on Sunday afternoon at Pumpkinfest and following the phone call, it was a matter of minutes before the McCutcheons arrived and, with their daughters Emma and Maya, walked away with $6,745 in winnings.
