Ontario Prohibits Gatherings of Five People or More with Strict Exceptions as stronger action is required to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Based on the best advice of Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health and other leading public health officials across the province, the government is issuing a new emergency order under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act to prohibit organized public events and social gatherings of more than five people, effective immediately.
Organized public events include parades, events (including weddings), social gatherings and communal services within places of worship.
This order would not apply to essential workplaces and any members of a single household who are gathered at their regular place of residence. Funerals will be permitted to proceed with up to 10 people at one time.
These are extraordinary times that demand extraordinary measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect our people.

Those who are infected with COVID-19 may have little to no symptoms. You may not know you have symptoms of COVID-19 because they are similar to a cold or flu.
Symptoms may take up to 14 days to appear after exposure to COVID-19. This is the longest known incubation period for this disease. Symptoms can include cough, fever, difficulty breathing, pneumonia in both lungs.
If you took the assessment before March 27th, please take it again. Updates include more specific instructions for people who have returned to Canada in the past month or have higher risks associated with getting COVID-19.
