Local Saugeen Shores Police receive a drive-by appreciation

Horns were honking on Wednesday as the SouthPort Church congregation showed their appreciation for the local police service in a drive-by parade of vehicles.

The drive-by was organized by Pastor David Baker, who is also chaplain of the Saugeen Shores Police Service.  “We just wanted our local police know how much we appreciate the work that they do and their involvement in our community.”

Approximately 20 vehicles lined up at the Plex in Port Elgin where owners decorated them with balloons and streamers before heading out.

Retired Police Officer Doug Lein decorated his car and lead the parade
