TIME UPDATE: Mad-cap, fast-paced Bruce County Playhouse production continues

There are only four more chances to take in Bruce County Playhouse’s latest comedy, Flight of the Ballooncaster: The Hottest Air.

“When his fellow Booth man mysteriously vanishes, revered sports broadcaster Paul Michaels is the prime suspect.”

This madcap balloon-based musical comedy is very fast paced featuring Second City veterans Devon Hyland and Connor Thompson.

Each of the actors takes on six characters from the broadcasters to detectives to cats and birds, challenging the many talents that they bring to the stage.

Thompson, an alumnus of Second City and born and raised in Bruce-Grey County, returns to Bruce County Playhouse hot on the heels of last summer’s smash hit, ‘Real Estate’.

Hyland’s many credits include Second City and roles along with voice work with Netflix, Showcase and CBC.

Together, the two actors, bounced the humour off each other with incredible dialogue and took on non-stop physical attributes for each character so quickly that they left the audience breathless on Opening Night (March 1st).

Part 2 of the show following intermission was even more fun for the audience as it took part in an interactive ‘improv’.  Two audience members were drawn up on stage where they took part in the improv, with the audience “oohing” and “aahing” encouragement through laughter.

The show continues tonight, March 2nd and March 3rd and 4th at 7:00 p.m. with a matinee on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Southampton Town Hall.
