Mud Kitchens sure to be a hit with kindergartners

The MacRitchie family, G. Sharpe and W. Kaufman have donated two outdoor ‘Mud Kitchens’ to Northport School in Port Elgin.

The project was initiated by School Community Council (SCC) co-Chair Lindsay Veicht.

The kitchens for kindergarten students are mini-designed suitable for tiny tots, as demonstrated by Kaufman’s grandchildren Everett and Emery, with utensils that are dishwasher safe.

Wayne Kaufman points out the features that can be                                   customized

The materials were donated by Dr. Melissa Roseborough of the Maple Dental Clinic with labour by Wayne Kaufman.

“We aren’t quite sure when these will be used,” says Principal Suzanne Kennedy. “It will depend on how restrictions are relaxed through Public Health and the province.  I know though that the students will be excited to use them.”
