Several municipalities throughout Bruce and Grey counties are celebrating the 25th anniversary of amalgamation.
The amalgamation of Arran Township, Town of Chesley, Elderslie Township, Village of Paisley, and the Village of Tara were formed into the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie. Amalgamation has proven we are stronger together, working as one team, with dedicated staff and community volunteers.
The Municipality recognizes the hard work and dedication that volunteers give to the community which enhances the social, cultural, and economic well-being of residents. As a result, the Municipality has developed a volunteer recognition program to formally recognize individuals who make selfless contributions towards the betterment of the Municipality, in honour of the twenty-five (25) years of amalgamation.
