Museum March Break a hive of activities – two days remain

Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre (BCM&CC) has been a hive of activity over the March break.

Each day, the Museum is filled with the sound of young voices having fun.

With a variety of special activities each day, there was no chance to be “bored’ over the school holiday.

On Tuesday, the cooking class with ‘Little Black Dog’ Catering was a definite hit as participants created their own decadent desserts.

With ‘smarties’ and marshmallows, Bria Wall created a delicious dessert.

Nolan Jackson wasn’t far behind with his chocolate and green sprinkles just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.

With only two days remaining in the March break, the Museum doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.

Tomorrow, Friday March 15th, there will be Awesome Astronomy with John Hlynialuk “Lights, Lasers, and Tricks with Mirrors”.  The presentation will explore some of the physics related to Optics used in Astronomy.  A few astronomical events to look forward to will also be highlighted and a special solar viewing will happen after the presentation, weather permitting.

Don’t miss the Telescope demonstration after lunch!

Then, there is the special and popular movie, E.T. at 2:00 p.m. – the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Saturday is the last day and, beginning at 11:00 a.m., there is ‘Growing Yoga’ with Melissa.

Again, there is the popular ‘Disney Dinosaur’ movie at 2:00 p.m. in the Bruce Power Theatre.
