New Executive Director takes the helm at Chamber of Commerce along with new team member

The Board of Directors of the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce would like to announce that Christine Mitchell who has been the Business Development Coordinator since February, 2021 has accepted the role of Executive Director effective immediately. Christine will be joined by new staff member Justine Kaufman on August 2, 2022. Justine will be the new Communications and Business Coordinator.

Over 16 months ago, Christine brought to the Chamber her exceptional relationship management and communications skills. Now, in this new role as Executive Director, she will be able to offer the Chamber her vast operation and business knowledge as well. As the owner of The Car Lady and other entrepreneurial experiences along her career journey, she understands what it takes to offer outstanding service.

“Christine values community and if you haven’t met her yet – I am certain you will. She has a desire to make connections and has a passion for community. She has already made such a difference for our Chamber these past number of months and we are certain in the role of Executive Director, she will make a significant impact as well.” said Michelle Kay- Scott, President of the Board of Directors for the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce.

Justine will join the Chamber after working at Huron Bay Co-operative Services as their Marketing and Communications Coordinator. She has experience working in both the non-profit and private sectors and is educated in public relations and business administration and operations.

“Justine will offer the Chamber a variety of skills including social media, communication and business administration. She is also passionate about this community and working on behalf of the Chamber members. I am looking forward to working with Justine,” said Christine Mitchell, Executive Director, Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce.

“With a dedicated and passionate staff team and a Board of Directors who are very committed, I believe our members are in good hands as we move forward,” said Kay-Scott.

The Saugeen Shores Chamber exists to empower, cultivate, and connect businesses to strengthen the economic vitality in Saugeen Shores.
