New intersection signs fight congestion

To the Editor:

I would just like to express my appreciation to the Town of Saugeen Shores staff.  Because of recent construction on (Hwy. 21) Railway Street near McNab Street for culvert replacement, there have been major traffic problems.  Highway 21 traffic has often blocked the McNab street intersection so that no-one can cross the highway or even turn on to it.

I contacted the Town about the problem and the very next day a sign was installed saying Do Not Block the Intersection.  I was impressed with the speed that Town staff stepped up with and the result is, if drivers obey the sign, we can now cross Hwy. 21.
