New signage on Lake Shore Road in Saugeen Shores

New signage has been installed along the Lake Shore road between Port Elgin and Southampton.

The signage is to make motorists aware that cyclists and pedestrians now use the road laneway after winter and high water levels of Lake Huron destroyed much of the multi-use trail along the shore road.

A new speed limit of 30km has also been posted along with ‘share the road’ signs.

According to Saugeen Shores Police Service, they will be monitoring the roadway for speed adherence.
