Daily closures along North Shore Road will begin this Thursday, October 1, 2020 as Town staff perform temporary erosion protection while awaiting a coastal engineering report.
Traffic will be blocked on McVicar Street at Fenton Drive and on North Shore Road at Bushwood Drive from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. A detour route will be open each day from Fenton Drive to Bushwood Drive. Signage will be posted to indicate the detour.
These daily closures will last for 1-3 weeks, with the entire project taking 4-6 weeks.
As staff prepare for this work today, September 30, North Shore Road will see a partial lane closure where vehicles must yield to oncoming traffic.
North Shore Trail continues to be closed to both pedestrians and cyclists. While cyclists are able to share the roadway with vehicles, pedestrians are encouraged to explore other trails at SaugeenShores.ca/TrailsMap.
Motorists are reminded to slow down as they travel along this route and watch for cyclists sharing the road.
