“Operation Road Rules” Results in Saugeen Shores

On July 17th the Saugeen Shores Police Service commenced a traffic safety initiative “Operation Road Rules”. The service’s latest program targeted traffic violations relating to intersections in Saugeen Shores.

The initiative lasted until July 31st. In the same reporting period in 2019 the service laid five tickets related to intersection infractions.

Over the two week duration of the enforcement initiative officers charged 29 motorists with intersection related infractions.

The service’s traffic management plan is influenced by community feedback. Our next traffic safety initiative will target aggressive drivers. This targeted enforcement event will take place from August 24th to Labour Day on September 7th.
