In this week’s ‘Pet of the Week’ Grey Bruce Animal Shelter is featuring a four-year old Mastiff/American bulldog cross – Blu.
“Once Blu warms up to new people he is a super sweet guy,” says Shelter Manager, Deb Takeda. “He is definitely looking at being the only pet in a home because he doesn’t get along with cats or dogs.”

Large breed experience is a must and don’t let his photos fool you as Blu weighs 130 lbs.
He would also benefit from someone who is home more frequently as he has separation anxiety and doesn’t like to be away from his people. He should also be in an adult only home. If you have any questions about his adoption requirements please call the shelter at 519-372-1911. Appointments are mandatory.

The Shelter says “… choose to offer a safe place for pets that have no choices left.” Sometimes, their owners have had no choice either. They, too, may have aged and have to move into a facility where their loved companions are not allowed or, in the final step of life, may have died leaving their pets behind. Whatever the reason, these faithful friends have no choice but to wait … wait for someone new to take them in and love them.”
