Pet(s) of the Week: Young and not-so-young looking for loving homes

Fiona and Leah are two little Tabby sisters that are six months old.  They are spayed and up to date on vaccinations.  They are very sweet and while Fiona is very sociable, sister Leah is still a little timid.

A lovely pair, they can be adopted separately or together.  Please call the shelter at 519-372-1911 to make an appointment to meet this pair.

Dixie is a happy friendly Border Collie X and, between 10 and 11 years old, is looking for a quiet home to spend her golden years and be a companion.

She doesn’t like to be left alone and, therefore, would like a home where she isn’t left alone for long stretches. Dixie is good with other dogs and cats but like most, she can get a little boisterous at times.  She doesn’t like to be over-handled or ‘mauled’ and so is best with older children.

Dixie is scheduled for a vaccinations update and will have an overall geriatric health check before being available to go to a loving home.

Again, please call 519-372-1911 to make an appointment to meet this sweet girl.

Note: at this point we are only making appointments with people from within Grey-Bruce.

The Shelter offers a safe place for pets that have no choices left.  “Sometimes, their owners have had no choice either. They, too, may have aged and had to move into a facility where their loved companions are not allowed or, in the final step of life, may have died leaving their pets behind.  Whatever the reason, these faithful friends have no choice but to wait … wait for someone new to take them in and love them,” says Shelter Manager, Deb Takeda.
