It is the end of an era and is history in the making as the unique Port Elgin beach steam-driven mini-train that was taken out of commission, saw its final ending.
Today, (May 19th, 2020) the famous ‘train station’ was demolished.
The demolition is in preparation for a new facility that will include a restaurant, proposed conference centre and up-scale ‘flea market’ overseen by the partnership of a conglomerate made up of local businessmen.
