Port Elgin Legion Branch 340: October, 2021 News

President Bob Harrison

What a month September was with the torrential rain and a tornado. The good news was no one was hurt and fortunately no damage to the Legion.

On September 22nd, the new COVID regulations were implemented by the Ontario government. Anyone who comes into the Branch must now show identification, proof of double vaccination or proof of medical exemption. We have set-up a confidential database so that you will only have to show your documentation once. So far, we have not had any problems or complaints. Thanks to everyone for understanding and complying with this matter.

We are now allowing the use of the Games Room for darts, pool and shuffleboard. Sorry, no card groups yet.

The Executive is still keeping a good eye on all Legion business. We are still short-handed on the Executive and, if you are interested, please let me know. It is essential that we get new people in so that they can be trained in their positions. Our present Executive is older and some would like to step down from their positions. Please consider joining the Executive.
