Port Elgin Legion Branch 340 – October Newsletter

  President Bob Harrison

Fall is here and yes you only get 12 hours of sunlight per day so enjoy it when you can.

September has been a successful month at the Branch with the various events going well with steady support for all. We ended our Friday BBQ’s and enjoyed a successful season with some very good nights and a few slower nights but we all had fun and that’s what  counts.

We had our Joint Executive Meeting with the Ladies Auxiliary (LA) on September 24th and there are no real issues to deal with and we continue with a good working relationship between the Branch and LA.

I attended the Zone C-4 Fall Convention on September 22nd in Paisley. We were very well
represented with 6 Branch members in attendance. We all learned new information that will
be valuable going forward. District C Fall Convention will be held October 20th in Kincardine.

I am looking forward to our Pumpkinfest Breakfasts on October 5th and 6th. Come in for a delicious breakfast and support the Branch. Hope to see you there.
