Port Elgin Lions Club Mega Bingo a mega supporter for many charitable groups

The Port Elgin Lions Club dispersed its Pumpkinfest Mega Bingo proceeds to several groups throughout the area today (Nov.10).

“The Mega Bingo was made up of 16 games played over four hours during Pumpkinfest,” explained Lions President Ed Buckle, “and we have to thank Eastlink and Bruce Telecom for making it possible, and Pumpkinfest who carried it through You Tube.”

The virtual bingo held during Pumpkinfest 2020 raised approximately $22,000 that will benefit various charitable organizations:

According to Lions Club President, Ed Buckle, “More funds will also be donated next week, November 18th, to several organizations in Paisley, including the Paisley Legion, Fire Department, Food Bank, Central School and Agriculture Fair.”

The Club will also be donating $1,000 to the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre, $1,000 to the Grey Bruce Health Services Oncology department, $500 to the Women’s Shelter in Kincardine and $750 to Iota Phi.
