Port Elgin shoreline a busy spot heading into August 1st long weekend

Port Elgin Beach and Harbour has been a busy place this summer.

The Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club (SSLC) was out early Friday morning despite below season temperature.  Swimmers said that the water was warmer than the air and they couldn’t wait to get back into the swim of things.

While the SSLC was on the beach, Port Elgin harbour had several new and unusual boats that tied up … two refurbished tugs from Port Dover (ON) were visiting and the Huron Explorer I that is often seen in the harbour.
