“If you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all” Such a sage piece of advice, but I would like to add to it … SAY SOMETHING NICE!!!!!”
- When was the last time you thanked someone who has always worked hard but has even had a harder time during covid?
- When was the last time you greeted someone who was at work helping you and wished them a good day and reminded them to stay safe acknowledging that their job puts them at risk?
- When was the last time you acknowledged the fact tho imperfect that we have a wonderful medical society in Ontario ?
– How about we start a campaign of sending notes to our Dr. emergency personnel, teacher at school, minister, anyone we can, to tell them we appreciate the fact their all ready demanding job has become so much harder and we are grateful for their service.
-How about each time you arrive back home after a necessary outing that you count how many kind words you spread to others.
I regularly tell staff in stores that, should they encounter a rude impatient customer, to be grateful that they would never act that way.
The store staff in our local Tim’s break out in big grins when I call out “thanks for working guys”. I stopped to speak to a ‘chip man’ filling the shelves thanking him for his constant attention to his job in the midst of Covid. He stopped and said it had been a long time since someone had spoken to him in that manner and thanked me.
WAVE TO A TRUCK DRIVER – BLOW A KISS TO A HYDRO PERSON, ETC,
We are all tired of this Covid situation but that does not give license to poor manners, rude and at times threatening comments, and above all the attacks on good people. DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU.
This past two years has seen my health fail, but not my spirit. We are each responsible for our actions BE KIND in all you do!
