Provincial Champions honoured with hometown parade

On Monday evening, September 25th, the U11 Ontario Baseball Association Saugeen Shores Sting Rep Team were treated like the Champions that they are.

The team, sponsored by Truly Nolen Grey Bruce, recently won the Provincial Championship for their age category and were recognized by the community, as they lead a parade accompanied by Police and Fire Service to the Council Chambers at the Plex.

In Chambers, they were greeted by Mayor Luke Charbonneau who presented each player with certificates from the Town, Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb and MPP Lisa Thompson.

“Congratulations to all of you, your coaches, team manager and your parents,” said the Mayor, “without them we would not have the sports teams that we do.  This is something that you will remember for the rest of your life.”
