Each year, the family fun event, where participants of all ages can walk, jog or run for 2k, 5k or 10k, is held as an annual fundraiser for mental health with all proceeds going toward programming for  Bruce Shoreline, the local branch of the Grey Bruce Mental Health Association.

Organizer Geordie Farrell explains the History of Reindeer Romp

This year, the event raised $1,087.  According to Melanie Knowles of Bruce Shoreline of Grey Bruce Mental Health, the funds are used to get clients physical and involved in the community through items such as gym memberships, passes to movies, BBQs and crafts.  “We are a grass roots organization so this contribution is very important and goes directly to activities for patients.”
