Reindeer Romp is gearing up for another annual FUN run

Dress up in your best reindeer or seasonal outfit or come decked out in your favourite seasonal colours and join us for the 14th Annual Reindeer Romp, starting at 9:00AM at Fitness Corner in Port Elgin on Monday, December 24th.

Walk, jog or run 2k, 5k or 10k. This is a participation event, NOT A RACE, and is co-hosted by the Saugeen Track and Field Club and Fitness Corner of Saugeen Shores. The cost is $10 for adults, $5.00 for students or $20 per family. All additional donations will be gratefully appreciated. Strollers and leashed pets are welcome!

All proceeds for the 2018 Reindeer Romp will go to Bruce Shoreline, the local Grey-Bruce branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association. Let’s support CMHA Grey Bruce’s mission statement and strive to become  “… a community that values human dignity and in which each person is supported in achieving optimum mental and emotional health and well-being.”  Funds raised will go directly to Bruce Shoreline to support its mental health initiatives in Saugeen Shores such as the Social Recreation Program and the Community Kitchen.

Additional information can be found on Facebook, under the ‘event’ section, REINDEER ROMP 2018 ~Saugeen Shores, or by emailing farrell@bmts.com .

(Tax receipts will be available for all those who register and provide email/mailing addresses.)

The fun ‘family’ event has been organized by Geordie Farrell, co-founder of Saugeen Track & Field Club (STFC) to raise funds for Bruce Shoreline, the local branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Participants of all ages can walk, run or jog 2K, 5K or 10k throughout Port Elgin.

Each year, Reindeer Romp continues to grow and this year organizers are looking at a bigger and better celebration for the 13th Annual ROMP.
