Square Deal Neil’s new building has had a bit of a ‘falling out” or in, when part of the newly constructed roofing trusses collapsed last night (Thurs. May 16).
No one was injured but the Department of Labour will be attending the site today along with the truss manufacturer to determine what caused the collapse.
According to sources, once one truss begins to let go it creates a domino affect however, only one portion of the roof was involved.
Owner Edith Sinclair was calm when she said, “It’s only wood. We are just thankful that noone was hurt and that it happened now rather than when the building is almost completed. Things happen.”
