Rotary Club of Saugeen Shores thanks everyone for participation

The recent return of the two Santa Claus parades in Port Elgin and Southampton proved to be extremely popular and receptive crowds of hundreds of adults and children took in at least one, if not both, of them.

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Saugeen Shores each parade also featured a free hot-dog BBQ and hot apple cider to start the evening.

“It was through the generous sponsors, that we were able to return to the two-parade format,” said President Pat O’Connor.  “We knew it was something that the entire community wanted and everyone got behind it.  Our members went over and above as they decorated our Rotary float and then helped out at the free BBQs.”

“We also want to thank organizations like OPG who helped sponsor our bands, Swiss Chalet and Foodland who donated hot dogs, buns and cider and Barry’s Construction for their sponsorship,” added O’Connor.  “Are we going to do it again next year?  We are already on it!”
