On Thursday, July 28th, Rotarians presented a donation of $43,500 to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
The funds were raised at the 34th annual Rotary Huron Shore Run held on June 4th and, in addition to the race day, a “Spring Training” virtual event was held.
Over 550 runners and walkers took part to raise funds for the “Bring Tom to Town” CT scanner campaign.
“We are thrilled with this donation,” said Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation Executive Director, Tracy Murray. “This brings our fundraising goal up to more than $2.7 million dollars. It’s organizations like Rotary that make such a difference in our community and keeping health care close to home. Now, we are looking forward to our first in-person Gran Fondo on August 21st since the pandemic began.”
