Chantry Island Cham-bettes are like the ‘Energizer bunny’ when it comes to fundraising – they never stop.
The group of women from throughout the community of Southampton and Port Elgin (Saugeen Shores) raise funds throughout the year with garage sales, a winter Christmas decor sale, the famous Christmas Home Tour and the Sally Armani sale of gently used and designer fashions.
The Sally Armani fashion sale held on Saturday, July 20th, is becoming one of the group’s major fundraising events. Before the sale held at the Port Elgin Legion opened, people lined up to take advantage of the gently-used and new clothing that was collected and sold by donation.
Although a final rally is not yet in , the Cham-bettes anticipate that $4,500 was raised at the Sally Armani sale that will go back into community projects.
The line-up begins before the sale starts
