Salvation Army Food Bank in Port Elgin receives donation

The Salvation Army Food Bank in Port Elgin received a windfall on Friday, February 26th (2021) when the new, as yet unopened nail salon in Southampton, donated $5,000.

The funds had been raised after the new company purchased Downs Pro Hardware in Southampton and sold the inventory, with all proceeds going to charities in the community.

Previously, the company also donated $5,000 each to the Women’s Centre in Owen Sound and the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
