Monday, August 29th, will be a big day in Sauble Beach as the Town of South Bruce Peninsula hosts Kurtis McDermid day and the Stanley Cup comes to town.
As part of the festivities, there will be a parade and gathering under the Sauble Beach sign where McDermid will share the Stanley Cup and his accomplishments with the community.
As part of the day, Main Street from the Sauble Beach sign to 2nd Avenue North will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8AM to 3PM. Town staff will be at the barricades and will accommodate access and egrees for local property owners until approximately 10AM, after which no vehicles will be allowed through.
There will be free parking in Sauble Beach during the event. Prior to the road closures, parking will be allowed on 2nd Avenue South, municipal parking lots or any other Sauble street where parking is permitted.
