On Monday, February 12th, Council members received the Town’s 2023 Annual Report that highlights the Municipality’s successes in the last calendar year. Committee of the Whole members have recommended that Council now receive the report for information.
The report measures the Town’s achievements against the goals set out in the 2023 Business Plan. The document shows the Major Initiatives, Division and Capital Highlights that Council and staff achieved and fulfilled. It also shows baseline numbers for each department’s Key Performance Indicators.
“This document is an important checkpoint in the Town’s business cycle,” said Kara Van Myall, Chief Administrative Officer. “It shows how far we’ve progressed on the 100+ goals set out in the Business Plan, and what we’ve carried over into the new year. I’m very proud of the work that our staff has accomplished in 2023. Now we have a document that we can use to guide us for the next four years.”
The document breaks down the Town’s work by Department and Division, and reports on their advancement. It also provides comments from senior leaders on their departments.
“This report shows the results of the Town’s planning, engagement and execution of Council’s key priorities in an attractive, easy to read manner,” said Deputy Mayor Diane Huber. “I encourage the community to consider what has been accomplished, as well as the Town’s Strategic Plan and 2024 Business Plan, to know why Saugeen continues to be a great place to live and work in, retire to and visit.”
Council will receive the report on February 26th. Members of the public can read the report HERE, and view the Town’s Strategic Plan, 2024 Business Plan, as well as Key Performance Indicators HERE.
