Saugeen Shores Police launches new Community Satisfaction Survey

We are committed to working with you for a safer Saugeen Shores. In order to ensure we are meeting the needs of the community we consult in various ways. One of these ways is through the use of this Community Satisfaction Survey.

The purpose of carrying out local surveys is to understand how the Saugeen Shores Police Service can serve the community more effectively and work with partners to deliver a safer environment for all residents. Surveying provides a consistent and reliable way of collecting this information.

The Community Satisfaction Survey allows us to explore the ways in which Saugeen Shores community members experience contact with and view the efforts of the Police Service.

Your cooperation is important to ensure that the information collected in this survey is as accurate as possible. The survey is completely voluntary, confidential and it does not require your name or signature. The Saugeen Shores Police Service will use the information from this survey for strategic planning in the 2020 Saugeen Shores Police Business Plan.

The Community Satisfaction Survey also helps us to do a better job. Research has shown that people who have a high level of confidence in the police are more likely to:

• Report victimization
• Come forward with information to assist cases
• Cooperate with the police

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Your candid and thoughtful reply will help our evaluation. Your response and any comments will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Your comments will help us make improvements to our existing efforts and make new crime prevention plans if needed.


The survey will also be mailed out to various residents in Saugeen Shores.

After the results are compiled and tabulated, we will issue a report.
