Assault Police
On July 15th 2025 at approximately 5:00pm Saugeen Shores Police were dispatched to the area of Elgin Street and Goderich Street for a report of an erratic male who may be in the possession of a knife.
Police arrived on scene and located a male matching the description. While police were dealing with the male a female began screaming and charged at officers. The female punched one officer in the shoulder. Police were able to gain control of the female after a brief struggle and she was placed under arrest.
As a result of this interaction a 42-year-old of no fixed address is charged with Assault a Peace Officer contrary to section 270(1)(a) of the Criminal Code. She was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
The male that police were originally dealing with was deemed safe and did not require any assistance.

Collision Investigation
On July 15th 2026 at approximately 11:20pm Saugeen Shores Police took a report of a man on an electric bike who had struck a construction sign in the area of Centennial Cr and Bruce St.
Police and EMS attended and located the 57yr old male unconscious with obvious head trauma. He was transported to the Southampton Hospital by Paramedics and further transported via Ornge Air Ambulance to a trauma centre.
This investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone who may have Information (dash cam / residence video etc.) to contact SSPS at 519-832-2500.
