From 10AM to 3PM on Saturday (Dec. 15/18), Mowbray’s and local police held a toy drive at the Canadian Tire location in Port Elgin and, as has been seen in the community, giving has become an incredible tradition.  The ‘Stuff a Cruiser’ became a stuff a van and truck as toys overflowed both vehicles.

“This community is so impressive when it comes to giving to those in need,” said Police Chief Mike Bellai.  “We recently held a food drive for the local Food Bank and the community came forward with absolutely incredible donations.  We  collected 1,606 pounds of food, $295 in gift cards and cash of $2,704.20 outside of Rowland’s Independent Grocer.  Now, the community has stepped up again with toys.”
