Saugeen Shores recreational facilities to reopen

The Province of Ontario moved to Phase 3 of its Roadmap to Reopen plan on Friday, June 16th at 12:01a.m. The new Rules for Areas at Step 3 regulation further expands indoor activities and services, and increases capacities.

With the reopening of indoor amenities in Phase 3, the Town of Saugeen Shores will begin to expand in-person services and indoor recreation.

The Centennial Pool in Port Elgin will reopen on Monday, July 26th for recreational swimming. The summer pool schedule and reopening protocols are posted at and recreational swims (e.g. aquafit or lane swim) open for pre-booking seven days prior to the activity date. Registration for swimming lessons is available now at

Indoor halls and meeting spaces will reopen for bookings beginning August 23rd and ice at the PLEX is available for rentals beginning August 21st.
