Selfish antics have jeopardized opportunity says reader

To the Editor:

I am a 30 year resident of Saugeen Shores and normally do not get involved in local politics but pefer to leave that to the elected council, who I believe are doing a good job.

However, a small minority have stirred me into action because their selfish antics have jeopardized an unbelievable opportunity to improve the well-being of our community. The proposed development of an Innovation Institute in our town would attract academic prosperity to enhance the quality of life in our beautiful town of Southampton.

I fully support this initiative and call upon our community to make their opinions known so hopefully we get a second chance at this unbelievable opportunity.
Many thanks.

Phil Hunt.
