SNC Lavalin returns as Gran Fondo Lake Huron sponsor

SNC-Lavalin is returning for the second year in a row as a sponsor at the Gran Fondo Lake Huron, presented by Bruce Power this August.

“What I love most about Bruce County is that people value health and wellness. At SNC-Lavalin we share similar values and what better way to demonstrate our support than sponsoring an event which gives people the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Lake Huron countryside, while getting some great exercise with friends. I look forward to riding with everyone again this year!” said Francesca Ottoni, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Development

SNC-Lavalin is the steward of the CANDU technology that Bruce Power operates to provide 30% of Ontario’s electricity.

“We have gotten such tremendous support from local businesses for the Gran Fondo again this year” said Foundation Executive Director Tracy Murray. “The fact that so many of last year’s sponsors are excited to return again this year confirms that this fundraiser is not only a fun community event but the cause it supports is also important to the people and businesses of the community.”

“This year’s event should be bigger and better than last year, we are expecting registration numbers will exceed 800 cyclists taking part in this fundraising event for the Foundation. Much like last year there will be a catered picnic after the ride, entertainment and a free beer for every rider courtesy of Outlaw Brew Co.” added Board Chair, Jim Barbour. “It should be a fun and memorable experience for everyone who takes part and for those who come to cheer on the cyclists.”
