Snowmobile operator charged with impaired

On January 26, 2025, at approximately 8:32 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision involving a snowmobile in the area of Concession 14 and Baseline, Municipality of Brockton.

Members of the South Bruce OPP attended the area with Bruce County Paramedic Service and located a single snowmobile involved. The operator was transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries.

As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old male of Saugeen Shores has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired, CC 320.14(1)(b)
  • Dangerous operation, CC 320.13(1)

The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court of Justice on February 26, 2025 to answer to the charges.
