REMEMBRANCE DAY went well.  It’s impossible for me to recognize everyone who make the event possible.  It was wonderful to see the kids with their families and students attend and take part in the wreath laying.  The Air Cadets did a great job at the ceremony.

We have an ambitious year ahead of us and volunteers to assist in everything from marketing and social media to plumbing, electrical and renovations are all needed.  Please reach out and lend a hand – it will be good for you (email me anytime).

John’s Jokes

What does John say before he tells you a Christmas joke?

This one’s gonna sleigh you!

Don and Ben were sitting in the lounge just before Christmas and I heard just bits of the conversation…

Don: How much do you think Santa paid for his sleigh?
Ben: Nothing, it was on the House

Ben: and kids leave treats out for Santa ! What do you think is his favorite?
Don: Crisp Pringles

Don :Ya wanna know what snowmen eat for breakfast?
Don: Frosted Flakes or Ice Crispies.

Ben: Santa being at the North Pole, I wonder what nationality he is?
Don: North Polish for sure.

Don: I can’t remember,,, what do you call Santa’s little helpers?
Ben: Subordinate clauses.

Don: Hmm. What does the Grinch do with a baseball bat?
Ben: Hits a gnome and runs.

Ben: I was looking at these Christmas cards…What’s the difference between the Christmas alphabet and the ordinary alphabet?
Don: The Christmas alphabet has No-el.

Don : I finally got Linda’s computer working!
I plugged the Christmas tree into her iPad!  I call it a pine-apple

After a particularly lively New Year’s at the Legion, I asked my wife Jo-Anne  why our Elf on the Shelf is behaving strangely…

Jo-Ann said, “We Don’t Have An Elf On The Shelf ?”

From My Family to yours,
Wishing you every joy and happiness.

Merry Christmas!!
