Southampton Rotary hosting a FREE bird house workshop – limited to 25 families

The Rotary Club of Southampton is delighted to be hosting a FREE Bird House construction workshop project at Rotary Hall 39 Grey Street S., Southampton on Saturday June 17th from 10 am to Noon.

The project is open to young people, bring along a family member and go home with your very own bird house ready for installation in your garden or back yard plus a guide on where to site the bird house and what type of birds are likely to be attracted to this new home.

There are 25 birdhouses available, so unfortunately the workshop is limited to 25 families on a “First Come First Serve Basis”.

To register in advance go to www.SouthamptonRotary.com

The bird house kits are being made by members of the Rotary Club from locally sourced cedar. Fixtures, fittings and screwdrivers will be provided. All you have to do is assemble the pre-drilled pieces from the kit. Participants don’t need any special knowledge or tools as the club will provide all the materials, assembly tools and guide you through the build process.

We look forward to hosting an environmental educational morning.

Rotarian Lon Sinclair says, “The finished bird houses would make a perfect Father’s Day Gift and afterwards could be decorated and painted if you wish.”
