Southampton Rotary completed its pledge of $50,000 to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Campaign and is now embarking on yet another fundraising pledge.

The latest pledge of $20,000 to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation is in support of the Grey Bruce Health Service’s MRI fundraising initiative.
To kick it off, the Rotary Club is holding a Marvelous Rotary Indulgence on October 20th at the Walker House in Southampton to raise funds for the MRI and other Rotary projects with its 17th annual Dinner Auction. For tickets, to donate an auction prize or sponsor the event, please contact Sylvia Sheard at 519-386-9556.
Sheard, President of the Southampton Rotary says that, “Our Club cherishes its role as a leader in the community, from the day it made the founding donation to the Southampton Hospital in the 1930s to today, when we are making a lead major donation to the MRI initiative. We believe it is important that the community continues to have access to the best possible health care and this new MRI will replace a piece of 14-year-old equipment, that is now at the end of its design life, at the regional center in Owen Sound with the latest in imaging technology.”
The MRI initiative goal is $4.7Million and fundraising is being lead by the five Foundations that support Grey Bruce Health Services (GBHS), including Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
