Stolen truck recovered in Port Elgin

On May 9th, 2019 the Saugeen Shores Police received a traffic complaint from the public
concerning a pick-up truck in Port Elgin. The truck had been reported stolen to the
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) a few days prior.

Later in the day officers located the truck parked at a Port Elgin apartment complex. An
investigation revealed that a male was operating the truck and was currently at a
residence inside the complex.

Officers identified the male as a 25 year old North Perth resident. The male was located at the residence and arrested. He was processed and turned over to the OPP who held outstanding warrants of arrest.

The 25 year old North Perth male has been charged with:
1. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 – vehicle
2. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
