Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have seized a large quantity of suspected cocaine as a result of a search warrant.
On November 6, 2024, members of the OPP West Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed search warrants at addresses in Dundalk and Clifford; the accused was taken into custody outside of Walkerton without incident.
As a result of the investigation, police seized approximately 1.9 kilograms of suspected cocaine, $12,000 in Canadian Currency, and a motor vehicle. The combined estimated street value of the seized controlled substances is approximately $200,000.
A 32-year-old male of Dundalk has been charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) offences:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, 5(2) CDSA
- Failure to comply with undertaking, 145(4)(a) CC (two counts)
The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on November 12, 2024.
