Substantial Street Level Drug Arrest by Saugeen Shores Police

On May 7th at 9:52am police were called to investigate suspicious persons sleeping in a vehicle in the rail trail parking lot at Concession 6. Officers arrived on scene and located a male and a female in the vehicle. As one officer approached, the male was observed to attempt to conceal a large quantity of drugs under the passenger seat. The officer reacted quickly and seized the drugs. Both the female and male were placed under arrest. An investigation revealed that the pair were in possession of large amount of drugs and cash.

Seized items with values:

• 50.7 grams of fentanyl – $17,450
• 3.8 grams of cocaine – $380
• 15.8 grams of methamphetamine – $1264
• 117 5 mg Oxycondone – $585
• $2230 cash

A 36 year old Georgina Bluffs man has been charged with:

1. Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
2. Possession of a schedule 1 substance – fentanyl
3. Possession of a schedule 1 substance – methamphetamine
4. Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – oxycodone
5. Possession of a schedule 4 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Xanax
6. Possession of property obtained by crime
7. Fail to comply with an Undertaking

A 28 year old Tiverton woman has been charged with:

1. Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
2. Possession of a schedule 1 substance – fentanyl
3. Possession of a schedule 1 substance – methamphetamine
4. Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – oxycodone
5. Possession of a schedule 4 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Xanax
6. Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
7. Possession of a schedule 1 substance – cocaine
8. Possession of a stolen credit card

Both were held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody
