Now that Saugeen Shores has entered Stage 3 in the provincial government’s reopening strategy, the Town recognizes there may be questions regarding procedures if positive cases of COVID-19 are identified in the business community.
The Town has partnered with Grey Bruce Health Unit to develop an employer fact sheet for business owners’ reference if an employee tests positive for COVID-19. The intent is to provide businesses with the steps the Health Unit will take for positive COVID-19 cases and what is required from the employer, if anything.
“Supports like this are some of the ways the Town is helping to provide peace of mind during the pandemic for both the business community and the general public,” said Mayor Luke Charbonneau.
Businesses can access the “COVID-19 Fact Sheet for Businesses” document on the Town’s Business Support webpage (SaugeenShores.ca/BusinessSupport) under “Local resources”, or by clicking here: http://ow.ly/nWwg50ANnSc.
Grey Bruce Health Unit also offers local businesses many resources and communication materials, including posters on mask wearing, preventing the spread of COVID-19, and self-screening. These are all available on their website at .
