The 41st Port Elgin SuperSpiel kicked off on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. and continues throughout the weekend.
Sixteen teams are competing for more than $16,000 in prize money in addition to qualifying points on the World Curling Tour. This year’s line-up has included six former champions and seven of the top 12 teams in Ontario.
Saturday morning’s play began at 9:30 a.m., following five draws on Friday with four teams emerging at 2 wins and 0 losses. The four teams include Ferris (Grimsby), Champ (Toronto), Kean (Woodstock) and Fournier (Toronto). All four of the undefeated teams are among the top eight ranked teams in Ontario.
The final runs at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday in Port Elgin and spectators are invited to take in some of Ontario’s finest curlers.
