The least risky solution is simple physics says reader

To the Editor:

I fully support Tony Zettel’s recent letter on the DGR.

Bruce county is already the home for most of the radioactive material in Ontario. The current location at the Bruce site was always going to be temporary, depending on the life and security arrangement around the generating plant, which has now been extended to 2064.

Leaving the material at the Bruce site in its current state beyond 2064 is problematic. Finding a local spot well below the level of the bottom of Lake Huron is by far the simplest and least risky solution in the long run. It’s simple physics.
