The Terry Fox Run returns to in-person in Saugeen Shores

Terry Fox was a Canadian athlete, humanitarian, and cancer research activist. After losing his leg to cancer at only 18 years of age, Terry set out to do the impossible – run across Canada, one marathon a day, in pursuit of his dream to find a cure for cancer.

Although he didn’t realize his dream, his Marathon of Hope continues.

Tomorrow, Sunday September 18th (2022), the 42nd Terry Fox Run returns to in-person in Saugeen Shores with registration at 12:30 and opening ceremonies at 1:00 p.m.

The family friendly, all ages, non-competitive fundraiser run/walk/roll event will again be held at North Shore Park in Port Elgin.

Participants can register online at Terryfox.org or at the park tomorrow in person.

Walk or run 2k,5k or 10k … OR sponsor someone who is participating in support of critical cancer research.
